Reviews and Ratings
Staying at the hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The rooms offer a nice view during breakfast time, and the piano bar and cigar bar add a touch of luxury to the stay. However, if your room faces the mountain side, the view might not be as picturesque as the lake view.
The hotel offers bright and spacious rooms at a pretty humble price, overlooking the lake with spectacular views from the balcony. The service is extremely nice and helpful, from the guy at the reception to the people in the bar and restaurant, always willing to assist. The location, despite being covered with scaffolding which made the room dull, is a short walk to Lucerne center. The dining experience is excellent, offering all the offerings you can imagine to start your day. The facilities are top-notch.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel to celebrate his 60th birthday. The room upgrade to a 'penthouse' was a disappointment, but overall, the room was functional, clean, and suitable. The staff was welcoming and professional, although we were surprised by additional charges upon check-out. The location offered beautiful views but was not ideal for the heat wave we experienced. The dining experience was pleasant but pricey for the offerings.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms offered spectacular views of the lake from the balcony, they felt a bit gloomy and dated despite having a hot tub with a breathtaking view of the 'Vierwaldstättersee'. The service varied from dismissive interactions to friendly staff who excelled in their roles. The unbeatable location near the city center and overlooking the Lake was a major highlight, although we couldn't fully enjoy the jacuzzi due to a heat wave. The dining options were extensive but lacked healthy choices, and there were extra charges for certain items. Overall, the facilities were adequate with a few standout features and slight room for improvement.
Staying at the hotel gives you a mix of great and not-so-great experiences. The rooms with a lake view are stunning, but mountain-facing ones lack the same appeal. Service is mostly attentive, but there were some forgetful moments. The location is unbeatable if you want to enjoy the view, but less impressive if you face construction sites. Dining options go from impressive to standard, and the facilities offer a pleasant stay overall.
